Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon renewed Canada's 6 year old demand for repatriation of photojournalist Zahra Kazemi's body. "Canada has consistently called upon Iran to respect all of its human rights obligations," Cannon added.

CTRC Approves Al Jazeera’s TV licence

The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission gave approval to Al Jazeera English to broadcast in Canada. The commition claimed that the Al Jazeera English will contribute to the Canadian broadcasting system by adding new perspectives and editorial points.
