Maloway prepared to cut airline fines in proposed bill

Manitoba NDP MP Jim Maloway is prepared to cut the fines within his Passenger Bill of Rights after criticism that such fines would hinder the bill’s progress in the House of Commons. The bill, now under scrutiny by the Transportation Committee, essentially charges airlines for passenger inconveniences like lost luggage, delayed or cancelled flights, and waiting inside the plane for a lengthy amount of time before take-off.
